I will try to write a simple step by step walk through of how Affiliate Marketing works and how you can become an Affiliate Marketer. I was stuck for a long time in this area of learning because every e-book I read would give one piece of the puzzle and would always leave me asking more question.

Here is a break down of what I am going to be covering in this process. Also keep in mind this is not set in stone I am going to update this list in the future as I see fit. I just brainstormed it so I can use it as a guide for myself.

What Is Affiliate Marketing And How I Got Started

When I learned about Making Money Online I would go around the forums and spend a whole day reading about how to make money with Adsense, than the next day I would spend my day reading about how to make money on Ebay, than another way of making money and another one after that.

I was stuck in this loop for a long time reading e-book after e-book and was getting no where because every e-book I read would talk about one part of the process. So I always felt there was something missing and so I would go and find a another course or just search the internet for information and get no where.

Anyway I was frustrated enough and wanted to make it work so I started applying some of the idea’s I had learned. First website I created was a free blog on blogger.com and I optimized it for Adsense. I was so excited to make money its unbelievable.

I kept checking my Adsense account every 1 hour for 2 days until I realized I need to get a lot of traffic if I was going to make any money. It took me about 2 or 3 weeks to make my first dollar.


I was Shocked & Amazed When I Earned My First Dollar

The Reason It was so fascinating to me was because I basically hated my job. Actually I didn’t hate my job but just the simple thought of working until retirement and still get no where. So that’s why this one dollar made me so happy because I said the money was made by my idea and my efforts it just felt so good.

However after another 3 or 4 weeks I realized that Adsense wasn’t going to make me rich in the near future I need something that could make more money and in a short period of time.

So I started learning and implementing Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate Marketing is selling other people’s products but doing it on the internet. Every time you sell a product using affiliate marketing you get a commission from the person that you are selling the product for.


Pros and Cons of Affiliate Marketing

The reason I chose Affiliate Marketing is because you don’t having a product to make money or creating a product. All of that work has been taken care of by someone else.

You don’t have to worry about shipping and handling, the product owner or merchant well do that for you.

Customer service requires a lot of time and patients and as an affiliate marketer you don’t have to worry about this either because the product owner will carry this task.

The downside of the Affiliate Marketing is that you do a lot of work but you don’t get all the money. However that said an Affiliate Marketer can earn a lot more than the merchant or product owner with some skills.

For example if you are promoting a product and making a lot of sails you could capture those buyers emails and sell them other products that they will also be interested in buying. It means you could do the work once and get paid multiple times.


Do You Need Any Money To Make Money Online?

It requires no money investment at all from you. You can use the resources freely available on the internet to start making money.

However if you want to be very professional and have your on Domain Name and Hosting you can get it very cheaply. About $10 dollars for the Domain Name and about $10 dollars monthly for your Hosting. Hosting and Domain name basically means having your own website for example www.yourwebsite.com and having complete control over it so you can change it around to your hearts desire.

For now you don’t need anything no hosting no domain name. So please keep your wallet away and don’t spend your money unless you absolutely need to.

Investing money can also speed up the process of making money. I will talk about this in depth when we get to traffic generation.


Affiliate Marketing Rocks

Over all the pros of Affiliate Marketing by far outweighs the cons. You can use Affiliate Marketing to experiment with and learn a lot about many areas of Internet Marketing. For now I hope you liked my post and I am not a professional writer so sorry if there is grammatical mistakes.
